On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, during the Carlisle boys home track meet, members of Carlisle Youth Athletics presented the Carlisle Community School District Superintendent, Erik Anderson with at $60,000 check as a donation towards a new scoreboard for the football/track stadium. Carlisle Youth Athletics is a local nonprofit organization offering K-6 sports such as; flag football, modified tackle/tackle football, volleyball, cross country, wrestling, basketball and track. These sports are feeder sports into the Carlisle junior high and high school sports programs. The CYA board was approached by Athletic Director, Darin Schreck of the need for a new scoreboard. The CYA board voted to make this large donation knowing the new scoreboard would be beneficial to the community and school district. The new scoreboard will have an electronic scrolling feature where information can be seen by those present at sporting events. CYA hopes this will let those present know the happenings of CYA sports and help continue to grow their programs which in turn gives back to the community and school district.
